I can't believe it!!

My baby boy turned 1 today!!! Its such a happy day, but a sad day all at the same time. I've realized that my "baby" is no longer a baby. I get weekly emails from Babycenter about what milestones you should be looking for and helpful ideas. Well, each week, up until today, it has said "Your Baby this week". Today, the email said "Your Toddler this week". I about fell out of my chair. Is my baby really considered a toddler now that he is 1 and walking? Oh WOW! It just can't be! On a serious note though, today at 9:53am I was given the best gift a person can receive. The sweetest most precious little boy that I would die for. It's hard to believe that Peyton once looked like this...

And now he is my BIG TODDLER BOY!!!

Happy Birthday Peyton!! I hope you know how much you are loved and how special you are to everyone in your life!!!

Much Love,
Mommy

She's alive!!!

Whelp, after 3 long weeks I finally got my car back. She's absolutely beautiful!! Thanks to Don's Collision and the Allstate Check, she is like new!! They even removed "Fat Bitch" off the hood as a present to me! Thanks boys! She died on me Friday night and Saturday because she needed a new battery. so NOW she is running perfectly!

I know I haven't blogged in a while so let me catch you up on everything that is going on in our lives. Jake messed up his ankle playing soccer last Sunday. He broke off a quarter of an inch of bone off , and then fractured another bone in the ankle area. He's going to have to see a Orthopedic Specialist because the doctor believes he tore ligaments and tendons as well. All I can see, and hear, is $$$$$$$. We still have a roommate and now with this accident.. I dont see him moving out anytime in the near future.

My son will be 1 on May 12th. I can't believe it! I'm about to have a one year old. Is this true!?!? That first year went by so fast... just like everyone said it would. Good thing I took lots of pictures to remember all the fun stages. NOW the fun part...SHOPPING for birthday stuff! I need to start looking for invitations, party themes, food, locations.... all the fun stuff!!! My big boy is starting to eat "real food". He's already to the point where he wants to be independent and do things himself. Much more of this 'tude and he can change his diaper himself! HA I keed. He is LOVING being able to feed himself. He ate banana, steamed carrot and potatoes last night using his little pinchers. He's such a big boy! I give him another month and he'll be walking. He's cruising, at a very high speed, around all the furniture and is "rearranging" where Hercules' kennel needs to be. He likes to push it around the dining room! His top 2 teeth are coming down and it makes him look so old! Total of 4 teeth! Whoo Hoo. He's our big boy... wearing 18 month clothes! :) I disobeyed the law and turned his "big boy carseat" around early. He now sits in the middle, facing forward. He loves every minute of it!!
*** I'm "proofing" my blog and just realized how many times I said "BIG BOY". Wow, sorry, I'll find a new adjective for next blog.***

I think I've reached a hump on my weight loss. I'm at a loss of 15 pounds right now. My goal is 30 by July. I've learned to maintain the weight, not gaining any back, and I'm content with my weight loss... for right now. I'm still eating healhty, with an occasional cheat here and there, and the only exercise I'm getting is chasing Peyton around the house. My soccer "career" as officially ended with Jake's accident. We can't afford it, nor can we afford having both of us gimp.

Thats all for now folks!

Much love

Poor Daisy

As if my car, Daisy, could take anymore abuse, lets add on another accident to her resume. On Sunday I was driving to my parents house to pick up food, minding my own business, when BAM! I get hit on the passenger side. Some little 17 yr old girl, "didn't see me" and hit me in my passenger side door. It won't open, yet somehow the wind can easily creep through and and make it ever so quiet in my car :\ I got my car adjusted on Monday and there was $3000 worth of damage. Holy macarel. My car isn't even worth that much!! So, long story short, I'm going to get myself a new door and get my car driveable again and pocket ze rest!!! YAY! New bathroom here we come!! :)

Little highlight of what my car has been through over the 8 years of me having her:
-being a pinball on 635 HWY bumping from side to side. No damage
-the numerous fish tailing I've done due to rain, sleet and snow
-Somebody backing into my car at college and taking off the front bumper
- My tire falling off my car, while driving, and rolling down the street only to have 5 Hispanics jump out of a car and steal my tire. Classic.
- I lost control of my car, while fishtailing, hit a curb and uprooted two trees. Quite an experience there. Did I mention the trees cost me, er my dad, $900! I told City of Plano I would plant some very nice palm trees from Calloways for way cheap but they didn't believe me. Hmph.
-Some liquid leaked all over my transmission almost ruining my electrical system. Not to mention the random times when my engine light does come on.
-Someone keying FAT BITCH on the hood. [motivation for the weight loss]
-12/25/09 accident where we slid on ice and ended up totaling a 2010 Lexus. Minor damage done to my car. She's a tank.
-Then the most recent accident where this "licensed driver" hit me and smashed in my door.
Hmmmmmmm and people wonder why I dont feel safe in my car!!! She's been a good car though! It will be a sad, yet happy day when I get to replace her.

Word of advice: Never fart in a tanning bed. Its way worse than a dutch oven!!! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Much love

Flashback

Earlier today I was on facebook, which never happens [insert sarcasm here], and I was invited to become a friend of "Bitter Waiter." I saw that my sister was friends with him, or it, and decided I should do it as well. It sounds funny. This is a man who writes a blog about his career; waiting tables. It could possibly be one of the funniest blogs I've ever read. Now I know how you guys feel when you read mine! HA JOKE! Anyways, as I read all of his blogs I feel that I can totally relate to each run in of Amernians, hillbillies, birthday bitches wanting anything and everything free, rambunctious children throwing their dinner on the floor while the drunken parents aren't paying any attention to them doing this, people that tip crappy or those that don't tip at all, the "hot messes" that can't hold their alcohol, and last but not least... the oh-so-subtle-hand-wave-letting-us-know-your-water-glass-is empty, that he describes in his blog. It makes me have flashbacks to the day when I waited tables. A big shout out to "bitter waiter" for making me realize WHY I dont wait tables anymore. I will remove any and every thought about "aww I miss waiting tables" out of my mind! Its not true!! If you've never waited tables.. dont. If you have waited tables.. dont go back. If you are currently waiting tables... get out while you can!! I'm sure feeding food to a pack of yipping chihuaha's would be equally as annoying, and gratifying as waiting tables would be. Not to mention, the pay might be the same.

To those who've waited tables I definitely encourage you to check out his blog : http://bitterwaiter.typepad.com/bitter_waiter/2009/12/index.html. Whenever you are feeling like your life sucks, read his blog. If you are having a crappy day, read his blog, it will cheer you up. Last but not least, if you are thinking about waiting tables and you've never done it, read his blog. It will definitely make you change your mind!!!

Do I HAVE to get on the scale?

Well, I celebrated my 24th birthday last weekend.... well more like all last month! I didn't stick to my diet as well as I should have so of course I was dreading getting on that scale. I didnt want all my "good birthday fun" ruin the hard work I had done in the first few weeks of my diet. I kind of had the "Go Big or Go Home" motto last week while celebrating. I ate chicken spaghetti at my parents house, pizza and wings ON my birthday, and Taco [no] Bueno on Sunday after my birthday party. Yes, I had my first coke in 4 weeks that day too. YUM! Of course, after eating all this junk food I was NOT about to weigh in on Monday morning like I usual do. Monday morning I started right back on my strict strict diet. Everything that happened last week would not steer me away from the "good path". So Tuesday afternoon, my friend invited my family and I to her house for a Super Bowl party. Uh-oh, the bad path is trying to get a hold of me. She simply just said "Eat really good this week and then you can have some pizza on Sunday." That sounds like a fantastic idea!!! Wednesday morning I got to work and decided I needed to weigh myself so I can see what the damage was and how much I needed to work at my diet. I got on that scale and about fell off of it when I read my numbers! I had lost 3 pounds since the last time I weighed in! WHAT!?!?!?!? Yes folks, I've lost a total of 10 1/2 pounds in the first month of my diet. I was so excited that I went and celebrated with some Uncle Julio's fajitas and a margarita! Whoops! Job well done, now its back on track!! I've learned alot about my dieting. Even if you mess up a little, as long as you portion control and don't OVERDO it, you'll be okay! Thank GOD!!

Little update about Peyton... he is finally getting a tooth!! After teething for what seems like 7 months, his first bottom tooth has surfaced. I can see it, and feel it, when he opens his mouth! Its not pushed up all the way yet but its definitely there. I was starting to worry that my son would never get any teeth and wouldn't be able to eat his birthday cake in May!! It's hard to believe that my son will be 1 in May. It seems like just yesterday he was born. Time really does fly by!!

7 pounds and counting...

So, if you read my last blog you will know that "Fat Bitch" was etched into the hood of my car back in December. Thank you random keyer, you gave me that little oompf I needed to lose weight! I began my jouney on January 4th and have lost 7 pounds so far. I lost the majority of that weight [6 pounds] the first week. I really was able to feel like the contestants on Biggest Loser, shocked by the amount of weight lost in the first week. Even more so when the dreaded 2nd week came along and I lost 1 1/2 pounds. This past week I hadn't been as strict on my diet and ended up gaining 1/2 pound. I cant be upset with that, because the overall picture is 7 pounds in 4 weeks. This is without working out.... and real food. I feel like a damn rabbit with all the vegetables and salads I've been eating. Oh well, it's paying off and people are starting to notice! Those notices from friends, family and even a daycare worker, push me to lose more weight. My goal is 30 pounds by July 4th. I'm giving myself 6 months to lose it and also learn how to maintain that weight. For me, I'm not wanting to just drop the pounds, but also learn a new lifestyle and keep that "cottage cheese" off! Ha. Ha. Sorry that was graphic. Even without a dramatic weight loss, I'm already starting to feel better about myself. My pants are fitting MUCH better, I don't crave the "bad" things I used to eat and it's nice to only have one chin! :)

Jake and I have decided to put together a co-ed indoor soccer league. This will be my excercise for the time being. I've never played soccer, I'm not in shape, so this is definitely going to be an interesting experience. I'm looking forward to doing it and also being able to spend time with my husband. After that... co ed softball!! YES!

Peyton is growing like a little weed; an adorable one at that! He's currently 8 1/2 months old and all over the place! He's the quickest little crawler I have ever seen. He constantly is darting over to Hercules' food and water bowl to play in it. Geesh! I have to say, I've definitely been more alert now that he is crawling. There is no going back from here. My life will NEVER slow down... so I've been told. I am absolutely loving this stage though. He's back to sleeping all night again. Thank the Lord. He'll wake up about 5:30 to have some milk and back down to sleep until 7:30. He's such a joy in the mornings, not a cranky baby AT ALL. He must get that from me.... :| He is constantly crawling to new objects to pull himself up on: Coffee Table, Inn Table, Herc's kennel and newly.. the toilet. Don't worry, the seat is down. I will not have my little one playing in toilet water.. believe me. He just likes to pound on the seat like a drum. He has been saying "Mama" for a while now, but recently said "Mommy" and "daddadadadad". That made Jake feel great! I absolutely love my little man!

Well, thats all I have to report. I'll report back later with hopefully so more good news of shedding those pounds!!

Much Love!!

Sayonara 2009!

As 2009 comes to an end, all I can say to it is " Goodbye and Good Riddance!!" I hate the feeling of only remembering the bad things that come rather than the good, and that seems to haunt me about this year. I feel like Jake and I just can't catch a break. The past few months have been SUPER stressful with bills, money and it seems that something has terribly gone wrong each month! Lets take a look at the highs and MOSTLY Low's of 2009.
January: We celebrated the New Year in the boons, while I was pregnant, and surrounded by drunks. Maybe that was a sign of what was to come in 2009-- Misery. I did then celebrate my 23rd birthday. Whoo Hoo I'm getting old.

February: My husband turned 25 and our insurance premium went down. Hallelujah! I spent the most romantic night of the year babysitting my nephew and niece! That's okay, they gave me plenty of love and I made some $$$ doing it. Geesh, I kind of just made myself sound like a..... ANYWAYS

March: Had a 400 year old man, from H & R Block charge me $350 to tell me that we owed $2000 to IRS. Hell, I could of told myself that for free.

April: Went to a butt load of showers, 2 baby for myself, and 2 bridal. Bring on the gifts!! Jake and I also celebrated our 2nd year of marriage! So, April wasn't bad!

May: THE BEST THING OF ALL TIME, AND WHICH MADE MY YEAR, my son Peyton Michael Motley was born May 12, 2009 @ 9:53A.M weight 7 lbs 3 oz 19.75" long. Beautiful healthy baby.

We can fast forward through June and July because I stayed home with the baby boy, lost about 100 hours of sleep, pulled out a little bit of my hair and loved every minute of it!

August: Got back in the groove of working, only to discovere daycare IS NOT CHEAP. We took a trip to the ER for Jake, which we thought was appendicitis or kidney stones. Turned out it was neither, and we have still yet to know what was wrong with him. He took many tests the doctor couldn't find what was wrong. After this, the Medical bills started rollin' in. Let's just say we could purchase a pretty nice vehicle with the amount of medical bills we have accumulated!! At least they won't go to collections, am I right? $10 to you, $10 to you.....

September: SURPRISE! You have a new pool! Oh wait, that's a leak under our driveway. $1000 later we fixed one leak only to find out we have a 2nd leak. Awesome. Which we still haven't been able to afford. Double awesome. That means we have 2x higher water bills than we should. We started taking the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace Class to learn how to save money and pay off debt. It's a great class but when you can barely pay your bills, I'm not worried about saving just yet. Good tool for the future though!

October: One of my good friend's baby was born, Cayden Wise. Peyton was a very Furrocious lion for his first Halloween.

November: What do you do when times get tough, you need more money but can't get a second job because you already work full time and have a 6 month old baby????? YOU GET A ROOMMATE!!!! Thats exactly what we did to help out on the bills. Too bad we haven't actually been able to put that money towards paying off anything because again, something always goes wrong. The first check we had to pay off the remaining balance we owed to the plumbers. Oh yea, a great highlight of this month.. JAKE GOT A NEW JOB!!!! Things are looking up... NOT

December: This month is definitely the icing on the cake for one of the hardest years ever. We had to fix our heater [$130], we were stolen from, I had "Fat Bitch" etched into the hood of my jeep, and THEN our family was involved in a car accident on Christmas day. We slid on ice and hit another car pushing them into a wall. Thank God everyone in the car was safe, and no one was hurt, but there was some damage to Daisy, my tank of a jeep. I go today to get her inspected to see how much damage was done to her.

As you can see, this was a very hard year for us. I feel that if Jake and I can make it through this year... we can just about make it through anything!! We're hoping for things to look up in 2010. Full of health, wealth and happiness. oh, and to be debt free! Psh! Hope everyone brings in the New Year safely!!

Much Love
