Poor Daisy

As if my car, Daisy, could take anymore abuse, lets add on another accident to her resume. On Sunday I was driving to my parents house to pick up food, minding my own business, when BAM! I get hit on the passenger side. Some little 17 yr old girl, "didn't see me" and hit me in my passenger side door. It won't open, yet somehow the wind can easily creep through and and make it ever so quiet in my car :\ I got my car adjusted on Monday and there was $3000 worth of damage. Holy macarel. My car isn't even worth that much!! So, long story short, I'm going to get myself a new door and get my car driveable again and pocket ze rest!!! YAY! New bathroom here we come!! :)

Little highlight of what my car has been through over the 8 years of me having her:
-being a pinball on 635 HWY bumping from side to side. No damage
-the numerous fish tailing I've done due to rain, sleet and snow
-Somebody backing into my car at college and taking off the front bumper
- My tire falling off my car, while driving, and rolling down the street only to have 5 Hispanics jump out of a car and steal my tire. Classic.
- I lost control of my car, while fishtailing, hit a curb and uprooted two trees. Quite an experience there. Did I mention the trees cost me, er my dad, $900! I told City of Plano I would plant some very nice palm trees from Calloways for way cheap but they didn't believe me. Hmph.
-Some liquid leaked all over my transmission almost ruining my electrical system. Not to mention the random times when my engine light does come on.
-Someone keying FAT BITCH on the hood. [motivation for the weight loss]
-12/25/09 accident where we slid on ice and ended up totaling a 2010 Lexus. Minor damage done to my car. She's a tank.
-Then the most recent accident where this "licensed driver" hit me and smashed in my door.
Hmmmmmmm and people wonder why I dont feel safe in my car!!! She's been a good car though! It will be a sad, yet happy day when I get to replace her.

Word of advice: Never fart in a tanning bed. Its way worse than a dutch oven!!! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Much love

Flashback

Earlier today I was on facebook, which never happens [insert sarcasm here], and I was invited to become a friend of "Bitter Waiter." I saw that my sister was friends with him, or it, and decided I should do it as well. It sounds funny. This is a man who writes a blog about his career; waiting tables. It could possibly be one of the funniest blogs I've ever read. Now I know how you guys feel when you read mine! HA JOKE! Anyways, as I read all of his blogs I feel that I can totally relate to each run in of Amernians, hillbillies, birthday bitches wanting anything and everything free, rambunctious children throwing their dinner on the floor while the drunken parents aren't paying any attention to them doing this, people that tip crappy or those that don't tip at all, the "hot messes" that can't hold their alcohol, and last but not least... the oh-so-subtle-hand-wave-letting-us-know-your-water-glass-is empty, that he describes in his blog. It makes me have flashbacks to the day when I waited tables. A big shout out to "bitter waiter" for making me realize WHY I dont wait tables anymore. I will remove any and every thought about "aww I miss waiting tables" out of my mind! Its not true!! If you've never waited tables.. dont. If you have waited tables.. dont go back. If you are currently waiting tables... get out while you can!! I'm sure feeding food to a pack of yipping chihuaha's would be equally as annoying, and gratifying as waiting tables would be. Not to mention, the pay might be the same.

To those who've waited tables I definitely encourage you to check out his blog : http://bitterwaiter.typepad.com/bitter_waiter/2009/12/index.html. Whenever you are feeling like your life sucks, read his blog. If you are having a crappy day, read his blog, it will cheer you up. Last but not least, if you are thinking about waiting tables and you've never done it, read his blog. It will definitely make you change your mind!!!

Much Love!!

Do I HAVE to get on the scale?

Well, I celebrated my 24th birthday last weekend.... well more like all last month! I didn't stick to my diet as well as I should have so of course I was dreading getting on that scale. I didnt want all my "good birthday fun" ruin the hard work I had done in the first few weeks of my diet. I kind of had the "Go Big or Go Home" motto last week while celebrating. I ate chicken spaghetti at my parents house, pizza and wings ON my birthday, and Taco [no] Bueno on Sunday after my birthday party. Yes, I had my first coke in 4 weeks that day too. YUM! Of course, after eating all this junk food I was NOT about to weigh in on Monday morning like I usual do. Monday morning I started right back on my strict strict diet. Everything that happened last week would not steer me away from the "good path". So Tuesday afternoon, my friend invited my family and I to her house for a Super Bowl party. Uh-oh, the bad path is trying to get a hold of me. She simply just said "Eat really good this week and then you can have some pizza on Sunday." That sounds like a fantastic idea!!! Wednesday morning I got to work and decided I needed to weigh myself so I can see what the damage was and how much I needed to work at my diet. I got on that scale and about fell off of it when I read my numbers! I had lost 3 pounds since the last time I weighed in! WHAT!?!?!?!? Yes folks, I've lost a total of 10 1/2 pounds in the first month of my diet. I was so excited that I went and celebrated with some Uncle Julio's fajitas and a margarita! Whoops! Job well done, now its back on track!! I've learned alot about my dieting. Even if you mess up a little, as long as you portion control and don't OVERDO it, you'll be okay! Thank GOD!!

Little update about Peyton... he is finally getting a tooth!! After teething for what seems like 7 months, his first bottom tooth has surfaced. I can see it, and feel it, when he opens his mouth! Its not pushed up all the way yet but its definitely there. I was starting to worry that my son would never get any teeth and wouldn't be able to eat his birthday cake in May!! It's hard to believe that my son will be 1 in May. It seems like just yesterday he was born. Time really does fly by!!
