Jake, Peyton and I will be traveling to California August 11-15! We're so excited! This will be our first vacation in over 1 1/2 years! It's well deserved AND much needed! This will be the firs time that Peyton and I have met Jake's side of the family! From what I've heard, there is ALOT of them! I think I'll need to draw out a family tree so I can have all their name memorized before we go!
We had planned on going to Disneyland while we were there, but then decided to wait for that first experience for when Peyton was a little older. We want him to actually remember it! One day we'll take him to the Santa Barbara Zoo so he can see all the animals! This will also be a first for him! We're going to try and make it down to Malibu to lay on the beach and swim in the ocean! I really hope that pans out! Jake and I are planning to go a fancy schmancy restaurant in LA! Just a little worried about the long commute and crazy traffic! Would it be worth it!? Hm... yea!! Not to mention the Family BBQ's, swimming parties, AND EATING we'll be doing while there! I.Cant.Wait!
Is it August, yet?

Pey Pey is 2!!
It's official
Well, it's official. Jake and I consummated our marriage last week. Ha. Ha Get your mind out of the gutter I'm not talking about that!! We got a joint checking account!!! We thought it was time considering we've been married for 4 years!!
Monday, the 23rd, Jake will start his NEW (yes, another new job) job with JP Morgan Chase. He is starting out in the collection department. Got to start somewhere, right? He will have salary, monthly bonuses, 401K and benefits unlike ANY of the jobs he's ever had. We're so excited for this new journey he is about to embark on!
However, I'm a little nervous about joining our finances! I know we needed to do it, but I'm such an "anal annie" when it comes to balancing the check book. Yes, I live in the 1980's and balance a check book. I also write checks too :P I'm always checking the account online, making sure every transaction is accounted for and our balance is correct. That's with ONE person using the account. I have a feeling I'll be working overtime with 2 people charging up stuff!
Wish us ALL luck! ;)

Finally did it!
I finally joined a gym! Yep, you heard right!
As most of you know, two Decemeber's ago someone keyed " Fat Bitch" on the hood of my car. This caused me to get my rear in gear and lose weight. Last year I lost a total of 30, technically 28, pounds just by changing my diet. Wow. Some may say it was an EXTREME diet, but it did the trick! Since I haven't kept to the diet as well as I should, or at all, I've gained 7-8 pounds back. Mama is not happy!! And you know the old saying... "if Mama ain't happy, aint nobody happy!"
There have always been so many excuses on why we haven't gotten a gym membership
* too expensive
* I don't have time to work out
* I don't want to put Pey Pey in another daycare after work
Just to name a few.
Well, the ladies at Peanut Gallery told me about this new gym in Carrollton called Just Fitness. It's pretty close to the house and they were having an awesome deal! How could I resist!?! No membership fee. $19.99/mo. which INCLUDES tanning!!! AND a family member (Jake) can come free Thursday-Sunday. Sign.Me.Up.
At the beginning of the year I started waking up at 545am and walking with my neighbors 5 days a week. I loved doing it, even though waking up that early completely sucks @$$, but I just dont feel like it's doing me any good. Here's a thought, maybe if I ate good AND walked I would lose weight. Just a thought.
Monday is my first day at the new gym and I couldn't be more excited!! Wish me luck! Oh, and pray that I don't hurt/pull/tear and more muscles in my legs!
Much Love,
Kenzie

i AM alive
I think I win the award for "Worst Blogger Ever". I just realized that my last blog was when Peyton was turning 1, and now he's 3 1/2 months away *tear* from being 2!! I'm sure there are a TON of things that happened since the last time I blogged. Let's recap:
* I got rid of Daisy the jeep, and replaced her with FIONA, the beautiful, sleek, "adult" car Acura RDX
* I made my goal of losing 30 pounds by July 4th. However, I've gained 5 back. Blah. I've started walking 5 days a week at 545 am with my neighbors and momma! The early rising is tough, but it's definitely helping.
* We no longer have a roommate!!! Hallelujah! We love you Mario, but it's great to have our house back.
* We fixed our ongoing-under-the-driveway leak! Can we say, "About time?". It's so nice to have a $50 cheaper water bill
*Jake got a marketing job! He's selling office supplies to small businesses and is loving it so far! I haven't seen a paycheck since he's only been working there for 2 weeks but I think he's found his calling! He's so personable and can sell anything! He could sell alcohol to a recovering alcoholic, he's that good! :)
*My handsome precious little baby boy is no longer a baby. He's the definition of independent toddler. He wants to do everything all by himself! We're about to start potty training since he tells me when he's going pee pee or about to poo poo. I sat him up on his Thomas the Train potty seat last night (he was naked) and he wasn't having it. Odd. He wants to sit on it with clothes on but not when his pants are on the ground. -- Yes, I just had to start singing "pants on the ground" song from American Idol last year --- Oh, did I mention that he's about to be 2? Yea, I can't believe it either. SIDENOTE: Please no one ask when #2 will be on it's way because it ain't happening ANYTIME soon. My daycare tuition is finally going down, along with my ass. I'm about to get Peyton out of diapers and would not like to put another one in them. I'm enjoying the relaxation (and glass of wine) that I get once Peyton goes down to bed and can't imagine tending to another baby (yet). Oh, and did I mention I love sleep. I don't think I'm ready for the late and sleepless nights that I had with Peyton. Not yet, but one day in the (not-so-distant)future we'll have another one! Thanks! ;)
* School districts have been closed for 4 days in a row due to inclement weather. However, Mike Leonard Insurance Agency (where I work) has been open those 4 days. I take that back, I did get to stay home on Tuesday when the ice hit, but my dedicated boss (also my father) was here at 6am. In the past two days I've been here, while everyone else is cozily sitting on the couch with their loved ones, I've had 7 phones calls --- three of those being from my mother. Bored, much? Yes. Perhaps that is why I'm updating my blog. Which I'm going to try and update this as much as possible. I'm sure all my readers are so very excited!!
Much love

I can't believe it!!
My baby boy turned 1 today!!! Its such a happy day, but a sad day all at the same time. I've realized that my "baby" is no longer a baby. I get weekly emails from Babycenter about what milestones you should be looking for and helpful ideas. Well, each week, up until today, it has said "Your Baby this week". Today, the email said "Your Toddler this week". I about fell out of my chair. Is my baby really considered a toddler now that he is 1 and walking? Oh WOW! It just can't be! On a serious note though, today at 9:53am I was given the best gift a person can receive. The sweetest most precious little boy that I would die for. It's hard to believe that Peyton once looked like this...
And now he is my BIG TODDLER BOY!!!
Happy Birthday Peyton!! I hope you know how much you are loved and how special you are to everyone in your life!!!
Much Love,
Mommy

She's alive!!!
Whelp, after 3 long weeks I finally got my car back. She's absolutely beautiful!! Thanks to Don's Collision and the Allstate Check, she is like new!! They even removed "Fat Bitch" off the hood as a present to me! Thanks boys! She died on me Friday night and Saturday because she needed a new battery. so NOW she is running perfectly!
I know I haven't blogged in a while so let me catch you up on everything that is going on in our lives. Jake messed up his ankle playing soccer last Sunday. He broke off a quarter of an inch of bone off , and then fractured another bone in the ankle area. He's going to have to see a Orthopedic Specialist because the doctor believes he tore ligaments and tendons as well. All I can see, and hear, is $$$$$$$. We still have a roommate and now with this accident.. I dont see him moving out anytime in the near future.
My son will be 1 on May 12th. I can't believe it! I'm about to have a one year old. Is this true!?!? That first year went by so fast... just like everyone said it would. Good thing I took lots of pictures to remember all the fun stages. NOW the fun part...SHOPPING for birthday stuff! I need to start looking for invitations, party themes, food, locations.... all the fun stuff!!! My big boy is starting to eat "real food". He's already to the point where he wants to be independent and do things himself. Much more of this 'tude and he can change his diaper himself! HA I keed. He is LOVING being able to feed himself. He ate banana, steamed carrot and potatoes last night using his little pinchers. He's such a big boy! I give him another month and he'll be walking. He's cruising, at a very high speed, around all the furniture and is "rearranging" where Hercules' kennel needs to be. He likes to push it around the dining room! His top 2 teeth are coming down and it makes him look so old! Total of 4 teeth! Whoo Hoo. He's our big boy... wearing 18 month clothes! :) I disobeyed the law and turned his "big boy carseat" around early. He now sits in the middle, facing forward. He loves every minute of it!!
*** I'm "proofing" my blog and just realized how many times I said "BIG BOY". Wow, sorry, I'll find a new adjective for next blog.***
I think I've reached a hump on my weight loss. I'm at a loss of 15 pounds right now. My goal is 30 by July. I've learned to maintain the weight, not gaining any back, and I'm content with my weight loss... for right now. I'm still eating healhty, with an occasional cheat here and there, and the only exercise I'm getting is chasing Peyton around the house. My soccer "career" as officially ended with Jake's accident. We can't afford it, nor can we afford having both of us gimp.
Thats all for now folks!
Much love
